We begin by paying tribute to Iran's Freedom Fighters as there was an uprising in South Eastern Iran--This is as one of Iran's Leading Voices of Dissent, Narges Mohammadi, received a new summons which she defiantly rejected. The Iranian Political Cartoonist Mana Neyestani paid tribute to her which we decided to headline as a tribute to her and all those at the forefront of Iran's struggle for Freedom. As March Dawns, we present a snapshot of the discourse of our World during the Final Week of February:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell riled up anti-Trump conservatives on Thursday by saying that he would "absolutely" support former President Donald Trump were he the 2024 Republican presidential nominee. McConnell's statement came just weeks after he took to the Senate floor and declared that Trump was "practically and morally responsible" for the Capitol riots that left McConnell's own staffers barricaded in his offices and fearing for their lives. THIS IS THE MOVEMENT TO PUT |

I'm excited to report our continued momentum and progress as more and more people learn about Country First and decide to join our movement. I'm also inspired by the huge number of unsolicited donations we've received from people across the political spectrum who want to see truth, courage, sanity, and decency return to our politics. It's all incredibly encouraging, and I hope you are beginning to feel it, too. However, I know many are anxious about Donald Trump's first big speech this Sunday. Many expect him to declare his intention to run for president again in 2024. Whether he says that or not, we know what else to expect: More lies about stolen elections, more vitriol for anyone who dares to criticize him, more self-aggrandizement, and more fear and conspiracy peddling. It will be more of the same. The great news is that Country First is ready to offer an alternate narrative: A hopeful, optimistic view of our future, where the politics of fear are rejected and reasonable people of goodwill can come together to actually solve problems. We know in our bones that America is better than this -- and so it will be. On Sunday, we'll be releasing a new video and doing multiple national interviews to draw a stark contrast between the Trump First and Country First visions for America. And once the video is out, I hope you'll help me spread our positive message far and wide! In the meantime, I'm happy to announce that we've released the first episode of our podcast, which is called Country First Conversations. It will soon be available wherever you like to get your podcasts, but for now you can listen to it at our website or on Spotify. This week's guest is Congressman Peter Meijer of Michigan, who joined me in voting for impeachment. He's a fellow veteran, and an all-around great guy, so I hope you'll check it out. |

As a side note, we did broadcast our conversation live, in real-time via the Clubhouse Drop-In Audio App, where people who join the "room" can participate and ask questions. If that sounds interesting to you, check out the app and feel free to add me at @RepKinzinger so you can be part of the live conversation in the future. Finally, I want you to know we are pursuing every avenue and alliance that we believe will help spread the word about this movement and make a difference for our nation's future. But our most powerful, potent resource will always be YOU. Please continue to talk to your family and friends, and make sure they know that ALL are welcome to take up this banner. It will require more than Republicans, Independents, or Democrats alone to heal this country -- it will take good, reasonable people working together. And THAT, my friend, is why Country First already gives me so much hope. Thanks for reading this far, and stay tuned for Sunday. I'll be sharing our new video with you, and can't wait to hear what you think. Country First, Adam |
