Global growth has eased but remains robust and is projected to reach 3.1 percent in 2018. It is expected to edge down in the next two years, to 2.9 percent by 2020, as global slack dissipates, trade and investment moderate, and financing conditions tighten. Growth in advanced economies is predicted to decelerate toward potential rates as monetary policy normalizes and the effects of U.S. fiscal stimulus wane. Notations On Our World (Special Edition): On #MexicoElecctions2018

Exit polls put AMLO firmly ahead.

Mexico has a new President, Andres Manual Obrador (AMLO)--Although as we went to press with this edition of Notations, the Mexican Elections Institute had not made the official announcement.   His rivals have already conceded as he begins to tackle the mamouth challenges Mexico faces.

    It will be quite interesting to see what he does as he begins to transform Mexico.    We look forward to reporting on it here.
